Wheel Alignment

Lost or damaged locking wheel nut key? We remove the nut without damaging the alloy so the wheel can come off.

Does S1 Tyres sell part-worn tyres?
Yes. Every S1 Tyres branch sells part-worn (used) tyres alongside new tyres. Under UK law, a part-worn tyre must have at least 2mm of tread across its full width and be marked PART-WORN on the sidewall. Ask to see the tyre before it is fitted.
Do you offer a 24/7 mobile tyre service?
Yes. S1 Tyres runs a 24/7 mobile tyre service across Romford, Dagenham, Chadwell Heath, Ilford, Hornchurch and Barking. A fitter comes to your home, workplace or roadside to replace a flat or damaged tyre. Call your nearest branch to arrange it.

Can you remove a locking wheel nut without the key?
Yes. S1 Tyres removes locking wheel nuts when the key is lost, broken or rounded off, using specialist tools designed to avoid damaging the alloy wheel. Once removed, the wheel can come off for a tyre change or repair.
What is the legal minimum tyre tread depth in the UK?
The legal minimum tread depth for cars in the UK is 1.6mm across the central three-quarters of the tyre, around its entire circumference. Driving on illegal tyres can mean a fine of up to £2,500 and 3 penalty points per tyre.
Do I need to book before visiting?
You can call any S1 Tyres branch before you visit. Giving your tyre size (printed on the sidewall, for example 205/55 R16) lets the team check stock and have the right tyre ready, which keeps your wait short.
